Bird Seed Sale Day: Our annual sale of high quality bird seed provides funds to give scholarships to students for Virginia Nature Camp, and to make donations to groups that benefit birds and nature.

Annual Bird Counts: Our club participates in the Great Valley Waterfowl Count (January), the Great American Backyard Birding Day (winter), the Rockfish Valley Hawk Watch (fall), and the Audubon Christmas Bird Count (December).

Field Trips: We take half-day, all-day and weekend field trips to see birds locally and in neighboring states.

Local Birding Records: The Club published The Birds of Rockingham County in 1999 and maintains records of birds seen locally. A copy of this book and a Field Checklist are available with $30 membership.
